Hand craftsmanship and artistic inspiration define the ARTIST collection. We’ve drawn on various techniques from art history to bring them to your walls. The collage technique is particularly popular—it combines found motifs and materials to create a completely new image with its own unique atmosphere. In the early 20th century, artists like Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque glued newspaper clippings, photos, torn papers, and wallpaper patterns onto their partly figurative or cubist paintings. Collage became its own distinct style when it freed itself from pictorial art and stood alone as an independent form.
