Not only nature served as inspiration for fine artists. The natural sciences, with their precise descriptions of the world in abstract thoughts and forms, could also captivate them. The beauty and simplicity of geometric forms are often reflected in those abstract image compositions that particularly shaped the 20th century. The designers at the Bauhaus even elevated the circle, triangle, and rectangle to the basic building blocks of their reduction-oriented universe. The GEOMETRIC design from the 10-piece ARTIST collection also draws on simple forms, but implements them surprisingly vividly and generously, which, especially on high walls, looks like a self-consistent abstract painting.
